Valentine's day is one of popular celeblations in the U.S.
but it is quite different between Valentine's Day in Japan and the state.
In Japan, the trend is for women to give chocolates to men on that day,
 but since there is no "White Day" in the U. S, they usually exchange gifts
 
boyfriendｓ ⇔ girlfriends
husbandｓ ⇔ wives  
grandchildren ⇔ grandparents
students ⇔ teachers
They just want give love someone who like,regardless age, gender or status.
No sway by the trend!!　
And,they exchange some gift,flowers and chocolates basically.
I saw many people propose to their partner  this season♥
（I run into the romantic scene many time !!）
 
Why don’t you follow American way this year?
Your partner control the purse strings leniently. ( *´艸｀)

おひさしぶりです。
暮らし方を一緒にデザインする仲間たちLIDECOのAyaです。

もうすぐ、バレンタインデーですね。
この時期になるといつも思い出すのが
小学校で好きな子に恥ずかしくてチョコをわたせず
家庭科の授業で習ったおでんをわたしたら
ドン引きされたほろ苦い思い出が蘇ります。
 
アメリカでもバレンタインデーはポピュラーですが
日本とはちょっと違います。
 
彼から彼女へ
夫から妻へ
孫からおばあちゃんへ
生徒がクラスの担任の先生へ
などなど。。。。
年齢や性別、ステータスは関係なく、　好きな人に気持ちを伝えるという感じです。
しかも、チョコレートというよりは、チョコレートとお花やギフトをあげたりというのが
一般的です。。
この時期にプロポーズする方も多いです♥
（レストランや公園などでよくみかけました！）
 
今年はこんなアメリカンなバレンタインデーで
彼女や奥様にお花とチョコレートプレゼントしてみては
いかがでしょうか？
 
お小遣いちょっとあげてくれるかもしれませんよ。。。(;^ω^)
